KU's Summer Poster Session provides a venue for undergraduate students to share the results of their research and creative projects. KU students and students who are visiting the university for the summer to do research with KU faculty are encouraged to share their work!

Presentation Details
Students giving poster presentations will submit a PDF of their poster. View KU poster templates.
Required: Upload a PDF of your poster (must be no more than 10MB in size).
Upload a YouTube video and paste the link of the video voiceover (2-3 minutes recommended) of the presenter describing the work/poster.

This will be a public event, so presenters should communicate with their mentor about their presentation before they submit it. If students are presenting research that is proprietary, please consult with us about options for presenting your work.
Presenters are expected to check their presentation at least two times per day during the event to respond to any comments.
Write a draft of a title and abstract or artist statement of no more than 250 words describing your research/creative scholarship. The title and abstract will be posted online, so be sure to review them carefully. View the KU Writing Center's tips for writing abstracts.
Review your title and abstract with your research mentor and make any suggested revisions.
Please register by 11:59PM, Sunday, July 16th.
Once you register your presentation, an automated email will be sent to the main presenter/registrant and it will include the presentation submission link.

This workshop will give you strategies to use to get the training and support you need as an undergraduate researcher. Join us for a fun discussion!
Abstract Writing & Poster Presentation Basics Workshop

Writing an abstract can be a challenging task, especially if you have never done it before. Come to this workshop to learn abstract-writing basics. This workshop will be especially helpful to those who need an abstract to register to present at KU's Summer Undergraduate Research Poster Session, but this workshop is open to any undergraduates interested in refining their abstract-writing skills.

Join us for a session about the nuts and bolts of putting together a poster presentation. Information will be shared about preparing a YouTube video of your poster elevator pitch which is a required component. A review of the submission form will also be provided.
Professional Online Identity for Undergraduate Researchers

Prepare a poster describing your research.

You will create a 2-3 minute poster talk and voiceover for the online event of your presentation explaining your poster. You will generate a link of your video voiceover of your presentation on YouTube and then upload the link of your video to the Symposium by ForagerOne event site via the submission form. You will also upload a PDF of your poster.
